Es el proceso en donde el emisor convierte las ideas que quiere transmitir, en signos, que puedan ser recibidos fácilmente por el receptor.
Emisor: Es la persona que comunica información de utilidad a otras personas que lo requieran.
Receptor: Es la persona que recibe la información del emisor.
Por ejemplo: el receptor recibe del emisor los siguientes signos fonéticos: La decodificación consiste en asociar estos signos, a la idea que el emisor trató de comunicar, por
ejemplo, un saludo: Hola.
